The cursor is blinking, waiting for me to type something but I am not sure what to type…only that I should type…so here goes…
Out of respect for his family or anyone close to this gentleman, I will not go into detail about what happened today. I will however, say that during a tennis match today a fellow player collapsed on the court and did not survive. He was happy, doing something he loved, joking and talking trash…having a great time. I can take solace in that fact. He was surrounded by friends.
I’m numb.
I didn’t know this fellow, but as I drove home I was flooded with thoughts about living life and doing everything in one’s power to be happy. We are so fragile…life is so fleeting and it’s sad that it takes an event such as this to really consider it all. Cursor is blinking again…
(Insert cheesy inspirational line of your choice here)…It’s true. Don’t be afraid to say I love you. Appreciate what you have. Life life to the fullest. Be happy.
Thanks for letting me talk about this and thanks to the gentleman for passing along an often forgotten message.
